Gay marriage isn’t legal in the UK yet.
The votes just mean that the House of Commons have voted and the majority vote won. However, it now has to go to the House of Lords and only when both agree (Commons and Lords) does it then get the Royal Assent (the Queen’s stamp) when it then becomes law.
Many things have won the majority vote in the House of Commons but got shot down because of the House of Lords. Let’s hope this isn’t the case.
